Bring them hither. Have yeany that are lame, or blind, or halt, or maimed, or leprous, or thatare withered, or that are deaf, or that are afflicted in any manner?Bring them hither and I will heal them, for I have compassionupon you; my bowels are filled with mercy. 8 For I perceive that yedesire that I should show unto you what I have done unto yourbrethren at Jerusalem, for I see that your faith is sufficient that Ishould heal you.Jesus Christ9 And it came to pass that when he had thus spoken, all themultitude, with one accord, did go forth with their sick andtheir afflicted, and their lame, and with their blind, and withtheir dumb, and with all them that were afflicted in anymanner; and he did heal them every one as they werebrought forth unto him. 10 And they did all, both they whohad been healed and they who were whole, bow down at hisfeet, and did worship him; and as many as could come forthe multitude did kiss his feet, insomuch that they did bathehis feet with their tears.Mormon11 And it came to pass that he commanded that their littlechildren should be brought. 12 So they brought their littlechildren and set them down upon the ground round abouthim, and Jesus stood in the midst; and the multitude gaveway till they had all been brought unto him. 13 And it came to pass that when they had all been brought, and Jesus stood in the midst, he commanded the multitudethat they should kneel down upon the ground.MormonSee Isa. 52:8-10Temple in land ofBountifulA.D. 3414 And it came to pass that when they had knelt upon theground, Jesus groaned within himself, and said:Father, I am troubled because of the wickedness of the people ofthe house of Israel.Jesus Christ15 And when he had said these words, he himself also kneltupon the earth; and behold he prayed unto the Father, andthe things which he prayed cannot be written, and themultitude did bear record who heard him. 16 And after thismanner do they bear record:MormonThe eye hath never seen, neither hath the ear heard, before, sogreat and marvelous things as we saw and heard Jesus speak untothe Father; 17 And no tongue can speak, neither can there bewritten by any man, neither can the hearts of men conceive sogreat and marvelous things as we both saw and heard Jesus speak;and no one can conceive of the joy which filled our souls at thetime we heard him pray for us unto the Father.People18 And it came to pass that when Jesus had made an end ofpraying unto the Father, he arose; but so great was the joyof the multitude that they were overcome.Mormon19 And it came to pass that Jesus spake unto them, and badethem arise. 20 And they arose from the earth, and he saidunto them:Blessed are ye because of your faith. And now behold, my joy isfull.Jesus Christ21 And when he had said these words, he wept, and themultitude bare record of it, and he took their little children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the Fatherfor them. 22 And when he had done this he wept again; 23And he spake unto the multitude, and said unto them:MormonBehold your little ones.Jesus Christ24 And as they looked to behold they cast their eyes towardsheaven, and they saw the heavens open, and they sawangels descending out of heaven as it were in the midst offire; and they came down and encircled those little onesabout, and they were encircled about with fire; and theangels did minister unto them. 25 And the multitude did seeand hear and bear record; and they know that their record istrue for they all of them did see and hear, every man forMormon himself; and they were in number about two thousand andfive hundred souls; and they did consist of men, women, and children.MormonSee Isa. 52:8-10Temple in land ofBountifulA.D. 341 AND it came to pass that Jesus commanded his Disciplesthat they should bring forth some bread and wine unto him.2 And while they were gone for bread and wine, hecommanded the multitude that they should sit themselvesdown upon the earth. 3 And when the Disciples had comewith bread and wine, he took of the bread and brake andblessed it; and he gave unto the Disciples and commandedthat they should eat. 4 And when they had eaten and werefilled, he commanded that they should give unto themultitude. 5 And when the multitude had eaten and werefilled, he said unto the Disciples:Behold there shall one be ordained among you, and to him will Igive power that he shall break bread and bless it and give it untothe people of my church, unto all those who shall believe and bebaptized in my name. 6 And this shall ye always observe to do,even as I have done, even as I have broken bread and blessed itand given it unto you. 7 And this shall ye do in remembrance ofmy body, which I have shown unto you. And it shall be atestimony unto the Father that ye do always remember me. And ifye do always remember me ye shall have my Spirit to be with you.Jesus Christ8 And it came to pass that when he said these words, hecommanded his Disciples that they should take of the wineof the cup and drink of it, and that they should also giveunto the multitude that they might drink of it.Mormon9 And it came to pass that they did so, and did drink of itand were filled; and they gave unto the multitude, and theydid drink, and they were filled. 10 And when the Discipleshad done this, Jesus said unto them:Blessed are ye for this thing which ye have done, for this isfulfilling my commandments, and this doth witness unto the Fatherthat ye are willing to do that which I have commanded you. 11And this shall ye always do to those who repent and are baptizedin my name; and ye shall do it in remembrance of my blood, which I have shed for you, that ye may witness unto the Fatherthat ye do always remember me. And if ye do always rememberme ye shall have my Spirit to be with you.Jesus Christ12 And I give unto you a commandment that ye shall do thesethings. And if ye shall always do these things blessed are ye, for yeare built upon my rock. 13 But whoso among you shall do more orless than these are not built upon my rock, but are built upon a sandy foundation; and when the rain descends, and the floodscome, and the winds blow, and beat upon them, they shall fall, andthe gates of hell are ready open to receive them.Jesus ChristSee Isa. 52:8-10Temple in land ofBountifulA.D. 3414 Therefore blessed are ye if ye shall keep my commandments, which the Father hath commanded me that I should give unto you.15 Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye must watch and pray always, lest ye be tempted by the devil, and ye be led away captive by him.16 And as I have prayed among you even so shall ye pray in mychurch, among my people who do repent and are baptized in myname. Behold I am the light; I have set an example for you.17 And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken thesewords unto his Disciples, he turned again unto the multitudeand said unto them:Mormon18 Behold, verily, verily, I say unto you, ye must watch and prayalways lest ye enter into temptation; for Satan desireth to haveyou, that he may sift you as wheat. 19 Therefore ye must alwayspray unto the Father in my name; 20 And whatsoever ye shall askthe Father in my name, which is right, believing that ye shallreceive, behold it shall be given unto you. 21 Pray in your familiesunto the Father, always in my name, that your wives and yourchildren may be blessed. 22 And behold, ye shall meet togetheroft; and ye shall not forbid any man from coming unto you whenye shall meet together, but suffer them that they may come untoyou and forbid them not; 23 But ye shall pray for them, and shallnot cast them out; and if it so be that they come unto you oft yeshall pray for them unto the Father, in my name.Jesus Christ24 Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world.Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up—that which ye haveseen me do. Behold ye see that I have prayed unto the Father, andye all have witnessed. 25 And ye see that I have commanded thatnone of you should go away, but rather have commanded that yeshould come unto me, that ye might feel and see; even so shall yedo unto the world; and whosoever breaketh this commandmentsuffereth himself to be led into temptation.26 And now it came to pass that when Jesus had spokenthese words, he turned his eyes again upon the Discipleswhom he had chosen, and said unto them:Mormon27 Behold verily, verily, I say unto you, I give unto you anothercommandment, and then I must go unto my Father that I may fulfilother commandments which he hath given me. 28 And nowbehold, this is the commandment which I give unto you, that yeshall not suffer any one knowingly to partake of my flesh andblood unworthily, when ye shall minister it; 29 For whoso eatethand drinketh my flesh and blood unworthily eateth and drinkethdamnation to his soul; therefore if ye know that a man is unworthyto eat and drink of my flesh and blood ye shall forbid him. 30Nevertheless, ye shall not cast him out from among you, but yeJesus Christ shall minister unto him and shall pray for him unto the Father, inmy name; and if it so be that he repenteth and is baptized in myname, then shall ye receive him, and shall minister unto him of myflesh and blood. 31 But if he repent not he shall not be numberedamong my people, that he may not destroy my people, for behold Iknow my sheep, and they are numbered. 32 Nevertheless, ye shallnot cast him out of your synagogues, or your places of worship, for unto such shall ye continue to minister; for ye know not butwhat they will return and repent, and come unto me with fullpurpose of heart, and I shall heal them; and ye shall be the meansof bringing salvation unto them.Jesus ChristSee Isa. 52:8-10Temple in land ofBountifulA.D. 3433 Therefore, keep these sayings which I have commanded youthat ye come not under condemnation; for wo unto him whom theFather condemneth. 34 And I give you these commandmentsbecause of the disputations which have been among you. Andblessed are ye if ye have no disputations among you. 35 And now Igo unto the Father, because it is expedient that I should go unto theFather for your sakes.36 And it came to pass that when Jesus had made an end ofthese sayings, he touched with his hand the Disciples whomhe had chosen, one by one, even until he had touched themall, and spake unto them as he touched them. 37 And themultitude heard not the words which he spake, thereforethey did not bear record; but the Disciples bare record thathe gave them power to give the Holy Ghost. And I willshow unto you hereafter that this record is true.Mormon38 And it came to pass that when Jesus had touched themall, there came a cloud and overshadowed the multitude thatthey could not see Jesus. 39 And while they wereovershadowed he departed from them, and ascended intoheaven. And the Disciples saw and did bear record that heascended again into heaven.
